”Suede Shrooms”
Typically reserved for Blue Shoes, suede can also pop up in the most unexpected places. Of course these mushrooms are not suede, but sure coulda’ fooled me.

Mushrooms need moisture, cool temperatures, and a little light. Because of this, there’s mud, and I found myself lying in it while composing this one. I must have been lying very still, because a wonderful couple stopped to see if I was breathing.

Where there’s a will there’s a way. Working its way up through the leaf bed and stone, very little can stop this guy.

They stand front and center and less noticeably are mimicked in the background. Pretty neat.

Just as I would get close and begin to focus, this little butterfly would wink at me and flutter away. But it would stay close enough, and tempt me to try again. We finally made a deal.
